Review || Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask

I have never bought a lush mask. I'll let that simmer with you for a few seconds.. It's shocking isnt it? A beauty blogger that hasn't dabbled in the many fresh pots of loveliness. These are strange and uncharted waters, but we'll get through it together. I was drawn the the 'Love Lettuce' mask initially because I was finding that my skin was so dull and I had a few areas where I had dry flaky skin. This mask in particular stated that it would help cure me of these pesky problems. I can happily and honestly say that these folks don't lie!

Love Lettuce is made of mainly agar, almond&almond shells, fullers earth and the seriously incredible french lavender oil. I love the security of Lush products; you can always be confident that they are only using the freshest and most natural ingredients they can. I never feel guilty or wary about using their products - whether it be their luxurious bath bombs, toothy tabs (which are phenomenal) or now a staple face mask. Now let me tell you, the french lavender oil they use in this mask is so delectably glorious - it calms your mind especially if your soaking in a bath with your favorite bubbles or essential oils.

The consistency of this green machine is thick yet still light, so that when you spread it over your face, which couldn't be easier, it doesn't feel like you have a massive vat of crap coating your face. There's nothing worse than the feeling of too much oil just sitting there festering away. Lovely image aint it!  The almond shells give this mask a smooth exfoliant that wont rub your skin raw, but leaves you with a fresh rejuvenated mug. The Kaolin and fullers earth deep clean, absorb grease and dirt and tighten the skin. As you lay back, relax and empty your mind of the weeks difficulties - let this mask do its work. Feel your skin getting back to its once jolly blissful self.

Once your ready to rinse this mask off, i strongly recommend to wet your face just so it is no longer dry. After it has been sprinkled with water, gently massage your face in circular motions for however long you feel necessary. Then wash your face until it is completely mask free and you no longer look like the jolly green giant. After that use your favorite toner, I use Boscia Clear Complexion Tonic, to additionally clean and rejuvenate. To finish off, the moisturizer - I like to use Clinique Moisture Surge Intense.

I would recommend this to anyone that suffers from dry skin. I think If you have oil skin but also have areas of patchy dryness, this mask could do many wonders for your skin. Love Lettuce is just magnificent and for $6.95 a pot, this joy is a steal! If your a strictly homemade face mask type of girl, I cannot advise you enough to take a step away from the rolled oats and get down to your local Lush store. Just give it a go! You can get about 7 masks out of this, so really your just spending a dollar per mask! It would be a crime not to! If you can't already tell, I love this mask and will continue purchasing it for a long while. This mask needs to be refrigerated and lasts for 2 weeks.

Alright so let me just summarize what this mask can, and will do for you dames! It will gently exfoliate away any and all dry flaky patches. Soften & smooth your skin to the place before all products - you'll essentially be back at baby smooth! It will completely clarify your skin and rid it of all dirt and grease. The french lavender oil balances any oils that you unfortunately have on your t-zone, and will ease any inflammation your skin is suffering from. If you use a variety of products which, lets face it, aren't good for your skin no matter what they say. Then this mask is definitely worth slathering on because it will just completely dissolve and work away any remaining remnants. Your face will thank you repeatedly! Love it, love it, love it!

Have you tried any Lush face masks? What do you think of them?

  1. I think I may need to look into this. I too have been having very dry skin lately. I use Olay Microderm Kit. It's the most amazing scrub and treatment I've found, but it is quite harsh. Good for now when I have terribly dry skin. This seems to be a lot more soothing, rather than insane acid burn! Might be nice to use in between.

  2. Yeah I would definitely give it a go! Sometimes you do need to just sooth your skin and allow it time to recover from all the chemicals we put on. And the green of this mask, counteracts any redness you may have.

Thanks so much Kelsey! Your amazing! X
